Connecting the Dots
Instructions:
1) Look carefully, connect the dots to creat a picture.
2)Paint/Colour the picture created.

This is a little project I made for college. Was inspired by those colouring books we all had when we were little.
I thought the idea of connecting the dots would be quite interesting and ironic when describing someone's (Brian) personality.
In this case, I made a mask and stiched it with white thread in a constelation-like pattern representing different facts about the model's identity.
It has been long since the crew of REZ has done an editorial but, with Evind and Mika moving to Oslo and myself moving to London, things had been rather insane. We would like to appologize to all our followers for the lack of posts recently.

LANA IS THE KING

The new internet "king" has been crowned and her name is Lana del Rey. There has been a lot of fuzz lately around this new internet sensation originally from Brooklyn, New York.
Her tunes remind us to Nancy Sinatra's melancholic "Bang Bang",and her beautifulness to the french muse and sex symbol of the 60's Brigitte Bardot. Her music leaves us longing for those golden Hollywood days when Western movies were printed like today's romantic comedies.
The crew of REZ predicts a great and promising career for this talented young lady who will launch her singles "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans" this next October 9th of the current year.
Listen here to some of her tunes and follow her on Facebook!

The essence of pink

Artist Feature: Jonathan Hobin
Jonathan Hobin is a fantastic photographer! A lot of his work is portraying the "Grown Up World's" issues through the innocence of children. Some of his most famous artwork is called "In The Playroom".
- In The Playroom is a metaphor for the impossibility of a protective space safe from the reach of modern media. The quizzical disposition of youth and the pervasive nature of the media are symbolically represented in my images through tableau-vivant re-enactments of the very current events that adults might wish to keep out of their child’s world. Just as children make a game of pretending to be adults as a way to prepare and ultimately take on these roles in later life, so too do they explore things that they hear or see, whether or not they completely understand the magnitude of the event or the implications of their play.

Artist Feature: Maurizio Anzeri
Maurizio uses the term "Photo- sculptures" because of his interes in all the things a photography could represent. When working on the photographies which are colected from flea markets, the pictures beging to take on volume, therefore its 3-D quality and the term "Photo-Sculpture".

Maurizio was lucky to work with icons such as Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow. His work is getting a higher hype by the time and we truly hope he keeps the growing pace he has been working with.

Fred Butler A/W11
Her designs are both brilliant and fresh and I would even go and say, this collection is rather marvellous.
She graduated in Fashion Design from the Univerity of Brighton in 2003. Since then she has worked as a props editor with editorials like US Vogue, Teen Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller, Vogue Hellas and more.
She has previously worked with people such as Patrick Wolf, La Roux, Lady Gaga and Sigur Ros among others.

Artist Feature: Benoit Paillé
Benoit Paillé is one of the most honest photographers that I know of. His artwork is completely down to earth and realistic, yet extremely breathtaking and beautiful. He is very well known for his work "Rainbow Gathering".
- Rainbow Gatherings are temporary intentional communities, typically held in outdoor settings, and espousing and practicing ideals of peace, love, harmony, freedom and community, as a consciously expressed alternative to mainstream popular culture, consumerism, capitalism and mass media.

Acne Resort 2012
Acne only develops more and more as time flies by. The brand has taken predictable, but nevertheless, strong moves forward lately, without losing the Acne signature. The resort collection is fresh and current, just like its predecessor. Acnes Resort 2012 collection consists of very interesting colour combinations and fabric use, such as silk and taffeta, which worked this line very successfully. Layers are also something that has been clearly focused on here.

Artist feature: Federico Cabrera / TOKYO 22
Until I get my 52 week photography project started in july I won't be able to produce much of my own work here in REZ. Hopefully you guys will be inspired by my own inspiration, today's feature is named Federico Cabrera. He's a fashion photographer from Argentina but is currently living in Finland. He works within art direction and a lot of the artwork that he produces is simply breath taking! It is innovative, original and not to mention memorable. I do not need to see his name anywhere near any artwork of his to know that it has been produced by this artistic genius! Enough chitchat! Check him out:
